"I was doing a basement remodel and had hired a local contractor who was also responsible to sub out my plumbing and electrical. The contractor did the demo and had some plumbing completed when he realized he had underbid the electrical – so his solution was to abandon the job while keeping the 2/3 payments he’d already been paid.
